Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park

The Lake Nakuru National Park is a small park and can therefore be quite crowded during the high season. There are also relatively few drivable ways. Our ranger told us that the lake has been getting bigger and bigger in the last few years, so some roads disappeared. There are no elephants in the park, but it is the best park to see rhinos. During my first Kenya trip, the rhinos had been missing on my Big 5 list. For sure Lake Nakuru Park was on my list for the second trip then and it did not disappoint. I saw several of the amazing rhinos. In addition, there are many flamingos to see, even if our guide told us, compared to a few years ago it’s nothing. Previously the whole lake was pink, so many flamingos must have been there.
