The Fisherman’s Bastion is an impressive monument on the Buda side. It is architecturally beautiful to look at and forms a beautiful viewing platform. If you have walked up the stairs to the bastion, you will find yourself in front of the Matthias church.
Most of the Fisherman’s Bastion is freely accessible and you will have a beautiful view over the Danube, the parliament and the Pest side. Only the top towers cost a small extra charge during the day but are accessible free of charge after 8 p.m.. The visit of the Matthias Church is chargeable.
Due to the great architecture and nice view it’s also a suitable place to take pictures
